The purpose of this project was to illustrate how the electromagnetic field of the human heart radiates between 3 and 6 feet outside of the body. It is the strongest EMF the human body creates, and is 5,000 times stronger than the EMF of the brain. Participants could walk inside the dark gallery space and into/through the EMFs of a pair of glowing hearts.

The EMF was represented by thin vertical lines (fiber optic cable) which glows brightly at points of laceration along the cables. The hearts also glowed with LED lights affixed the the top of the resin cast hearts. There was one point of entry for each field and the two heart fields overlapped.

A soundtrack that resonated with the frequency of the human heart was playing in the gallery to create a more immersive experience.

PROJECT GOALS: to provide a physical experience of the size of the electro-magnetic field of the human heart
