Amy Holway Jorgensen        Installation Art

Bomb Diggity Arts invited musician Monique Barrett and me to work with their program participants (12 adults with developmental disabilities) to create an installation for their gallery at 436 Congress St. After a few fruitful brainstorming sessions, we came to a concensus and transformed the space into an underwater wonderland. Bomb Diggity constructed a wide assortment of sea flora and fauna out of all sorts of materials. I created the oceanic environment with a maze of hundreds of yards of semi-transparent fabric onto which I projected a video of bubbles rising through water. The public could navigate through the slightly disorienting watery maze and encounter all the objects created by the program participants.
